Terms of Service

Last updated: January 27, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms and Age Requirement

By accessing or using Collider ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you may not use the Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Collider is a platform that facilitates AI-powered debates between multiple AI models. Users can create debates, watch public debates, fork existing debates, and interact with AI responses.

3. Third-Party AI Providers

3.1 AI Model Integration
The Service uses multiple third-party AI models to generate debate responses:

  • OpenAI (ChatGPT - gpt-5.2-chat-latest)
  • Anthropic (Claude - claude-opus-4-5-20251101)
  • Google (Gemini - gemini-3-pro-preview)
  • xAI (Grok - grok-4)

When you create a debate, your prompts and uploaded content are sent to these AI providers to generate responses.

3.2 Data Training Policy
By default, none of these AI providers use your debate content to train their models. Your inputs and the AI-generated outputs are processed solely to provide the Service to you.

3.3 Provider Terms
Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these AI providers:

  • OpenAI: https://openai.com/policies/business-terms/
  • Anthropic: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms
  • Google: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms
  • xAI: https://x.ai/legal/terms-of-service-enterprise

We recommend reviewing these policies to understand how your data is processed.

3.4 Regional Restrictions
Some AI providers have regional restrictions. Users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom may experience limited functionality or may be required to use paid tiers only.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

5. Credits and Payments

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits are required to generate AI responses and perform certain actions. Credit purchases are non-refundable except as required by law.

  • Day Pass credits expire after 24 hours
  • Top-up credits never expire
  • Pro subscription credits refresh monthly

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

6.1 Illegal or Harmful Content

  • Generate illegal, harmful, abusive, or hateful content
  • Create content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
  • Generate sexually explicit content involving minors
  • Create content that violates intellectual property rights

6.2 System Abuse

  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, security measures, or safety filters
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or platform technology
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
  • Use the Service in ways that violate the terms of our AI providers

6.3 Misrepresentation

  • Represent AI-generated content as human-generated
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Use the Service to spread misinformation or disinformation

6.4 Professional Advice

  • Rely on AI-generated content for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice without independent verification
  • Use the Service for clinical practice or medical diagnosis
  • Use the Service in safety-critical applications (healthcare, transportation, etc.)

6.5 Commercial Restrictions

  • Use Outputs to train your own AI models
  • Use the Service to provide competing AI services to third parties

Note: Sharing public debates (including via livestreams, videos, or social media) is permitted and encouraged. Fork earnings are a platform feature, not commercial redistribution.

Violation of these policies may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

7.1 Your Content
You retain all rights to your original prompts, questions, and any content you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.

When you make a debate public, you retain ownership but grant:

  • Other users a non-exclusive license to view and fork that debate
  • Researchers a license to analyze the debate for academic research on multi-AI dynamics and behavioral patterns
  • Us the right to use anonymized data from the debate in academic publications and presentations

You can change a debate back to private at any time, which will remove it from public view and future research use.

7.2 AI-Generated Outputs
You own the outputs generated by AI models in response to your prompts ("Outputs"). To the fullest extent possible under applicable law, we assign to you all of our right, title, and interest in and to such Outputs.

When you make a debate public, you grant other users the right to view the Outputs and create forked copies. Public debates may also be used for academic research (see Section 7.1). Forked debates are independent works owned by the forking user.

7.3 Platform Technology
We (and our licensors) retain all rights to the Service itself, including all platform features, algorithms, and technology we develop.

7.4 Fork Earnings
When others fork your public debates, you may earn credits according to our fork pricing policy. This is a platform feature, not a sale or commercial redistribution of content.

7.5 Limitations
AI-generated Outputs may not be unique. The same or similar Outputs may be generated for other users. You may not represent Outputs as human-generated content.

8. Assessment Data

8.1 Quality Assessments
To improve debate quality and detect harmful patterns, the Service collects quality assessment data from AI models. Assessment data is stored with your debates and used to power platform features and safety systems.

8.2 Safety Systems
The Service includes automated safety systems that detect potentially harmful conversation patterns. When triggered, these systems may prompt AI models to provide more balanced perspectives. You will see a visual indicator when these systems activate during a debate.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

9.1 Service Provided "As Is"
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9.2 AI-Generated Content Limitations
AI responses may contain:

  • Factual errors, inaccuracies, or "hallucinations"
  • Biased, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Outdated information not reflecting recent events
  • Content that does not accurately reflect reality

You must evaluate the accuracy of any AI-generated content as appropriate for your use case, including through human review.

9.3 No Professional Advice
AI-generated content does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Do not rely on AI responses for professional decisions without consulting qualified professionals.

9.4 Experimental Technology
The Service includes experimental features and technology. Features may change, be discontinued, or contain errors.

9.5 Third-Party Providers
We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or availability of third-party AI providers. AI models may generate the same or similar content for other users.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Exclusion of Damages

  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

11.2 Our Indemnification of You

  • Your Content or prompts

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
